Thursday the 27th
Today there is no homework because of our AR class party celebration! Tomorrow is our class field trip to the Perot Museum. Please make sure that your child is wearing a St. Luke school uniform. We will leave directly after Mass for the museum. Please remember to bring a sack lunch of non-perishable food for the trip. We are all excited for tomorrow!

Today, we learned how to count quarters in Math. We also learned how the letter "o" can sometimes make the short "u" sound in a word: eg: month, won, and wonder. In science, we have been working on plants. Today, we planted our very own sunflower in the classroom. We named it Sandy the Sunflower. We are very excited about checking it's growth through the weeks!

In science, we have been investigating the effects of colored water on celery stalks. We are always excited to check our experiment daily to check for any changes!

Tuesday the 4th!
Can you believe that it is already March? Time is flying by so fast! Today, we learned how to write different amounts of money by using a dollar sign. In Phonics, we learned about the vowel, consonant, vowel pattern to divide syllables in words. In English Language Arts, we read the story: "Click Clack Moo, Cows that Type". In the story, we are learning about Cause and Effect. In Social Studies, we are learning the difference between Needs and Wants.
